One of my bigger summer projects was carving these five decoys for a lake house up north. Very happy with how they all turned out. For size reference the crappie (bottom left) is 10 inches long. Each one is carved from cedar, fully scaled, carefully weighted to swim, and airbrush/hand painted. I'm looking forward to the winter months and having a bit more time to carve.
Logo design for Golden Acres Lawn Care out of Dickerson, MD. Customer had an idea of what they wanted and I helped make it a reality.
Sneak peeks from Aaron and Katie's e-session last night in Middleton.
Had an excellent day spent with a fellow wood carver, Jesse Borde of JB Woodcraft. Captured some photos and video of his artwork around Madison and Rio. Got a great library of images now to start building a website for his business.

Was a perfect summer day for Buck and Nicole's wedding yesterday!
Excited to share this website I recently finished for Cuoco Pazzo Eatz & Drinkz, which also features images I captured of their amazing restaurant, food, and drinks. www.cpazzo.com
If you find yourself in the Lake Geneva area be sure to go check them out. They have multiple dining rooms, a large outdoor patio area, and offer to go orders. So they can accommodate however you prefer to dine in these times.
In what's become a Fourth of July tradition, I had a great session with the Andre family this morning. Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday weekend!
The storm front moved through at just the right time last night and left us with some pretty epic skies for Stephen and Kyles senior sessions.
A few favorites from last nights engagement session with Janna and Mitch. Taken on her family property outside of New Glarus, where I'll get to capture their wedding next year.
New business cards, the backs all feature a different image with some of my favorite photos and fish decoys from the past year(ish).
It's been either 2 or 16 years since I started this journey, depending on how you look at it. While in normal months I sometimes question my sanity with the wide range of work I do, it has been very helpful these past few months. It's allowed my business to stay somewhat busy and expand some of my offerings, while other parts have been slowed.
I remain extremely appreciative of all the small businesses, associations, and individuals who come to me year after year for their creative needs. Being a self-employed artist, especially the past few months, isn't the easiest of paths but the quality of life it provides me can't be beat.
Last year I captured a lot of area businesses, events, and scenes for the new Fort Atkinson visitor guide, that was recently printed. I think the book turned out excellent and is a great reminder of all the things we love about Fort Atkinson. You can view the booklet online or find printed versions at the Chamber. https://fortchamber.com/visitor-guide
Continuing to add new items to my Etsy store when time permits. Especially creative craft items families can enjoy together like this "Yooper" pack. Featuring some of the things that make my home away from home special.
I've changed up some of the other packs and all are now being made from 3/4" thick cedar. Also working on more coloring pages and exploring having some coloring books printed as I've had a few inquiries from some retail shops and individuals who don't have home printers. That might be a later project though as photography work is slowly getting back to normal.
